Published: · NTE Version 1.4 coverage

Hotta Studio announced the broadcast in an official NTE Global post on September 10, 2026. The post gives the version title, the date and the time, and links the two channels it airs on. Nothing else about Version 1.4 has been announced yet — no release date, no banner schedule, no codes. Everything below is split into what is official and what is only our expectation, and it is labelled that way throughout.

When the 1.4 Special Program Airs

September 16, 2026 at 19:30 (UTC+8), which is 11:30 UTC. NTE runs on the UTC+8 clock, so that is a Wednesday evening in Asia and a Wednesday morning in the Americas.

Hotta Studio has not published a runtime or an end time for the broadcast, only the start. Previous NTE version preview programs have run for the best part of an hour, so leave yourself room if you plan to watch it live.

Where to Watch

Two official channels, both named in the announcement post. Either one works; codes, when they come, are read out on both simultaneously.

The 1.3 program stayed up on YouTube as a VOD after the broadcast, so missing it live is not fatal — but the codes it handed out were not, which is the reason to be there on the night.

What to Expect from the Program

Only three things are official so far: the version title "For Whom the Verses Mourn", the broadcast date and time, and the two channels. Release date, banner phases, kits, reruns, new regions and codes are all unannounced. The section below separates the announcement from our expectations.

The release date is expected, not announced

Hotta Studio has not said when Version 1.4 launches. Version 1.3 Phase 2 ends on September 30, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8), and NTE has so far started the next version as the previous phase closes, so we expect September 30. Treat that as our expectation from the cadence — the special program should confirm the real date.

Two characters have already been revealed

Hotta Studio revealed both through drip marketing before this announcement. Blackbird is an S-rank Psyche character whose reveal art shows a crow-themed witch. Akane Rin is an S-rank Lakshana character pictured with an electric guitar. Neither character's kit, combat role or signature Arc has been published, and the program is the natural place for that.

Banner windows are our calendar, not a schedule

Hotta has announced no banner dates for 1.4. Applying the two-phase pattern 1.3 used, we expect Blackbird from September 30 and Akane Rin from October 20. Those windows are what our banners page currently carries, flagged as expected, and we update them the day Hotta confirms.

What the 1.3 program covered

The best guide to the shape of a 1.4 program is the last one. On August 8, 2026 the Version 1.3 Preview Special Program covered:

NTE Version 1.3 'Rising from the Moonlit Fog' Preview Special Program key art — the previous version preview, aired August 8, 2026
The previous program: Version 1.3 "Rising from the Moonlit Fog", aired August 8, 2026. Artwork © Hotta Studio.
  • The release date — August 19, 2026, given without a maintenance window
  • Four Limited Boards across two phases, with exact 05:59 UTC+8 cutoffs
  • Three redeem codes read out during the broadcast
  • Two new S-rank characters, Zankou and Linko, with kit footage but no confirmed roles
  • A new story chapter plus two new areas, Fogden and Duskmoor
  • An eleven-entry event calendar for the version
  • Eleven seasonal outfits, three vehicles and a new property
  • A batch of quality-of-life changes

None of that is a promise about 1.4. It is the precedent, and it is why a version preview program is worth an hour.

The Version 1.4 Key Art

The art places a crow-themed witch with a raven on the left, a crystal ball in the centre framing a white-haired, sword-wielding figure, and a blonde girl with an electric guitar on the right.

An observation, not an announcement: the key art features the same two characters revealed by drip marketing — the crow-themed witch matches Blackbird, and the guitarist matches Akane Rin. Hotta Studio has not named anyone in the art, and we are not identifying the figure inside the crystal ball.

Version 1.4 Livestream Codes

No 1.4 codes exist yet. None have been announced, and this section is a placeholder on purpose — we will add them here on the evening of September 16, 2026 as they are read out during the broadcast, and nowhere on this page will you find a code we have not seen given.

The pattern is consistent enough to plan around. The Version 1.3 program handed out three codes during the broadcast on August 8, 2026, and all three expired on August 10 at 23:59 (UTC+8) — roughly two days. Together they were worth 300 Annulith and 22,000 Beetle Coins. If 1.4 follows suit, whatever drops on September 16 will be gone by about September 18.

How to redeem: from the main menu, tap the ••• button in the top-right corner, choose Redeem Code, enter the code and confirm. Rewards arrive in your in-game mailbox, and each code works once per account. Every code currently working lives on our NTE codes page, which we update the same evening.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the NTE Version 1.4 livestream?

The Version 1.4 "For Whom the Verses Mourn" Preview Special Program goes live on September 16, 2026 at 19:30 (UTC+8). Hotta Studio announced the date and time in an official NTE Global post on September 10, 2026, and it streams on the official NTE YouTube channel and the official NTE Twitch channel.

What time is the NTE 1.4 special program in my time zone?

19:30 (UTC+8) is 11:30 UTC. That is 13:30 CEST in Paris and Berlin, 12:30 BST in London, 07:30 EDT in New York, 04:30 PDT in Los Angeles, and 20:30 JST/KST in Tokyo and Seoul — all on September 16, 2026.

When does NTE Version 1.4 release?

Hotta Studio has not announced the Version 1.4 release date. Version 1.3 Phase 2 ends on September 30, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8), so we expect 1.4 to launch on September 30 — that is our expectation from the version cadence, not an announcement. The Preview Special Program on September 16 should confirm the date.

Who are the NTE 1.4 characters?

Hotta Studio has officially revealed two through drip marketing: Blackbird, an S-rank Psyche character shown as a crow-themed witch, and Akane Rin, an S-rank Lakshana character pictured with an electric guitar. The key art for the program features the same two characters. Their kits, roles and banner dates have not been announced.

Will there be NTE 1.4 livestream codes?

Hotta Studio has not announced any codes for the Version 1.4 program. Every previous NTE special program has handed out redeem codes during the broadcast — the 1.3 program gave three, and all three expired roughly two days later — so codes are likely but not confirmed. We will add them to this page and to our codes page on the evening of September 16 as they are read out.

How do I redeem NTE livestream codes?

From the main menu, tap the ••• button in the top-right corner, choose Redeem Code, enter the code and confirm. Rewards arrive in your in-game mailbox and each code works once per account. Livestream codes are short-lived — the 1.3 set expired within about two days — so redeem them the same evening.
