Active NowIn-Game EventVersion 1.3August 19, 2026 → September 30, 2026

A new permanent Hethereau Hobby: 2v2 beach volleyball, paired with an AI partner through the Rookie Series group stage into a weekly ranked tournament.

Volley Star is a permanent Hethereau Hobby added in Version 1.3: 2v2 beach volleyball where you control one character against an AI-controlled partner. Clear the Rookie Series group stage first, then the Weekly Match tournament pays out Fons and other rewards based on how far you get each week.

How Volley Star Works

  1. 1

    Enter the Rookie Series

Volley Star sits in the Hethereau Hobbies menu rather than a temporary event panel, since it stays in the game past September 30. Starting a match costs City Stamina. Pick your controlled character, the AI fills the second court slot, and play rallies to 7 points, winning by 2, until the Rookie Series group stage is cleared.

  2. 2

    Open the Weekly Match tournament

Clearing Rookie Series opens the Weekly Match tournament, which runs on its own weekly reset. Each reset grants 5 matches.

  3. 3

Play until a loss ends the run

A single loss ends the Weekly Match run for that week. Whatever placement is reached at that point sets the week's Fons payout, so the first loss decides the outcome rather than a retry.

  4. 4

    Claim the rewards

Milestone and placement rewards, an event avatar frame, namecard, Annulith, Fabricated Dice, Fons, Floe Cinema Tickets, Elite Hunter Guides and Chaotic Dye, sit in the event panel and do not claim themselves.

Volley Star — Tips

  • Court strength varies by character and no outlet has published a ranking. Test a few characters before locking a Weekly Match lineup rather than trusting a build that works in a different mode.
  • Clear Rookie Series as early as possible. It is the only gate between the player and the higher-value Weekly Match tournament.
  • Volley Star runs the full August 19 to September 30 window, covering both Zankou's Phase 1 banner and Linko's Phase 2. Fons saved here is available for whichever board a player is rolling on.

Volley Star — What the Track Pays

The reward list reads as milestone and placement based rather than a currency spent in a shop: event avatar frame, namecard, Annulith, Fabricated Dice, Fons, Floe Cinema Tickets, Elite Hunter Guides and Chaotic Dye. Weekly Match placements reportedly add bonus Fons and Talent Bread on top of that base list, though exact quantities have not been published.

Volley Star — FAQ

Is Volley Star permanent, or does it disappear after Version 1.3?

Permanent. It is added as a standing Hethereau Hobby rather than a temporary event. The reward track described here is tied to the August 19 to September 30 window, but the volleyball mode itself remains afterward.

Is winning required to get rewards?

No. Rookie Series and the milestone rewards come from progression, and even a Weekly Match loss banks whatever placement was reached that week.

Does character choice matter?

Yes, court strength varies by character, though nothing published ranks them against each other yet.

Is there a Volley Star shop or currency?

None found. The official reward list reads as milestone and placement payouts, not a currency spent anywhere.

What does a match cost to play?

City Stamina. Entering a Rookie Series or Weekly Match round spends it like any other Hethereau Hobby.
