How Shipwreck Salvage Works

  1. 1

    Head to a marked spot

Board the Tide and travel to a marked cargo location on the map.

  2. 2

    Harpoon the cargo

Aim and fire to hook floating cargo. Higher-rarity pieces are worth more points than common ones, so prioritize them when there is a choice.

  3. 3

    Watch the fuel gauge

Every second on the water burns fuel. Plan the route back to shore before committing to cargo that is far out; a catch that cannot be returned in time scores nothing.

  4. 4

    Return before fuel runs out

Only cargo actually brought ashore converts to points. Some cargo and floating pickups contain jetski upgrade parts, storage, speed, harpoon range, and grabbing these early pays off on every later run.

Shipwreck Salvage — Tips

  • Fuel is the real constraint, not harpoon accuracy. Commit to a return route before chasing a far-out piece.
  • Prioritize rarity over volume when fuel is tight. One high-rarity catch can outscore several low-rarity ones for the same fuel spent.
  • Chase upgrade-part drops early in the event window. The benefit compounds across every run afterward.

Shipwreck Salvage — What the Track Pays

The official list is an event avatar frame, namecard, Annulith, Fabricated Dice and Fons. No currency shop has turned up for this event either; it reads as a flat set of rewards rather than points exchanged for prizes.

Shipwreck Salvage — FAQ

What happens if fuel runs out with cargo still hooked?

Only cargo brought back before fuel runs out counts. The exact fail state, whether the jetski stalls or the hooked cargo is simply lost, has not been detailed anywhere.

Is there a Shipwreck Salvage shop?

No. The reward list is a flat set of items rather than a currency spent anywhere.

Do jetski upgrades from this event carry over to Surf Breaker?

Both events use the same Tide jetski, so it is plausible, but nothing confirms shared upgrade progress between the two.

How long does it run?

August 28 through September 30, 05:59 (UTC+8), starting nine days after most of the Version 1.3 event slate.
